Horse Riding
Nowhere else in the Dordogne will you find horse trips / treks like the ones we offer at Ferme de Fonluc.
We offer unique trips that are guaranteed to show you parts of the Dordogne you would otherwise never get to see. Our trips vary from 1 hour to 5 hours, and we have a few overnight treks.

Examples of our horse trips are:
5 hours horse riding, with a picnic. On these 5 hour trips you have a choice of visiting some of the area’s main attractions. We are constantly adding new and exciting trips to our itinerary, and are always open to our customers wishes & ideas.
La Madeleine
La Madeleine is a cave-dwelling village on the banks of the Vézère. The site features rock shelters where Prehistoric people settled 10,000 years ago.
Commarque
The castle of Commarque dominates a fortified village composed of knight’s towers and cave dwellings, situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir.
Cap Blanc
The site dates back at least 14,000 years to the mid-Magdelenian period. The cave includes an exhibition of various archeological artifacts found on site during excavations in 1909.
Bernifal
the Bernifal cave (walk in the woods for the access to the cave) which houses more than 110 engravings and paintings, above all a huge mammoth drawn in clay.
Ferrassie
Paleoanthropological site in the Dordogne region of France where Neanderthal fossils were found in a rock shelter between 1909 and 1921.

We have listened to our customers wishes, and have put together 2 (more coming soon) amazing and unforgettable overnight horse treks, with the choice to bivac or stay at a hotel.
The treks will take you to some of the nicest places this area has to offer, and some of the areas best kept secrets. You will enjoy about 5 hours of horse riding a day.

Grotte de Rouffignac
Rouffignac is one of the longest and most ramifide caves with palaeolithic paintings. Total length of all the chambers and galleries in three levels is about 10 km’s.
Grotte de Bara Bahau
Hollowed out by a vanished underground river and dominating the Vézère valley, the Bara-Bahau Cave was first inhabited by bears, which left many traces of their occupation. Then man in turn took possession 17,000 years ago, turning the cave into a shelter with an inner chamber and sanctuary.
Price for this once in a lifetime Dordogne adventure is just 190 Euro !!! This includes picnics and accommodation. This price does not include. dinner at the accommodation. Add an extra 50 Euro if you stay at a hotel.
